How do I start the AVS/Express Evaluation?
This guide will help you setup your 7-day AVS/Express Evaluation.
Step-by-step guide
- Download and install the AVS/Express Viz Edition from the link included in your email.
- Save the license file attached in your email to your AVS/Express root directory. For example: C:\Program Files\Advanced Visual Systems\AVS Express\license.dat
- Once you've successfully completed installation of the software and the attached license file, you can start AVS/Express by selecting:
Start->All Programs->AVS Express 8.X->AVS Express (Viz Edition)
If you are not able to find the Viz Edition link in your startup menu for some reason, you can also try one of the following methods:
- You can hit the Windows-Key-Q for search everywhere and type in Express to see all the options.
- You can run the batch file in the installation folder. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Advanced Visual Systems\AVS Express\bin\pc12\vxp.bat"
- Please note this evaluation license is for the Viz edition only.
- You may receive an evaluation only once per email address.
- To request an evaluation of another edition or would like to evaluate on another platform, please complete a request via the AVS Support Help Center.
*Attention current AVS/Express users*
Depending on how you have set up your license in the past you may want
to note that AVS/Express looks for the license in the following order.
If you currently have the license stored in another location the new
installation will not be reset.
1. XP_LICENSE_FILE
2. XP_ROOT
3. Root installation directory
